Gary Huenemoeder has joined Blumbergs as a Charity Audit and Compliance Advisor to assist Canadian registered charities when they are being audited and more importantly to conduct informal risk reviews of a charity's operation (preferably before the audit) to identify and resolve issues in the simplest way possible. Gary will also be undertaking educational activities for groups or umbrella organizations that want to learn more about charity compliance.

Gary resides in Waterloo Ontario and studied at Wilfred Laurier University. Gary has 37 years of experience at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) including spending 16 years as Team Leader Charities Audit for all of Ontario. Gary has extensive knowledge of charity audits, Income Tax Act requirements and CRA guidance regarding charitable and not for profit organizations. Gary has recently joined Blumbergs and will be assisting clients who wish to have informal risk reviews conducted to improve compliance and knowledge of Income Tax Act requirements.
