Collaboration, Cooperation and Merger in the Canadian Charitable Sector – 90 min
Canadian charities are looking for ways to be more efficient and effective. While working harder may work for some, changing lanes and working smarter may be a better approach. There are many possibilities in terms of sharing resources, outsourcing certain functions, co-locating premises, joint projects or programs and even amalgamation and merger. Join charity lawyer Mark Blumberg (editor of www.globalphilanthropy.ca) as he discusses many possible ways for charities to work together as well as for them to work with organizations that are not charities. Mark will cover practical, legal and ethical challenges that charities need to consider.
