The CRA has announced that it will make automated calls to Canadian registered charities to remind them to file their T3010 Registered Charity Information Return. That is a positive step in using technology to remind charities of their filing obligations.
Here is the picture of the CRA tweet.
Here is where you can find the T3010. It is due 6 months after the end of your registered charity's fiscal year.
Hopefully the automated message will also remind Canadian charities that the T3010 should be prepared as accurately as possible. You only have to file one form a year with CRA – try to prepare it with a little care, so those who are interested in your charity don't have to pull out their hair.
