CRA has advised that they will remove Charities Information Letters and Employee Speeches as they are out of date or the information is contained elsewhere.
“Removal of Charities Information Letters and Employee Speeches
We have recently completed a review of the Charities Information Letters and Employee Speeches available on our Web pages. The letters are edited versions the Charities Directorate sent in response to specific questions from charities and professionals. The speeches were written to elaborate our position on certain technical issues. Both are listed as reference material for many of the Summary policies or for other Web pages.
Our review showed that some of the information in the letters and speeches is out-of-date as many were written more than ten years ago. Also, the relevant information in the letters and speeches can now be found in other policy-related documents or on other Charities and Giving Web pages. We have determined that these documents are no longer necessary and therefore, will be removed from our Web pages in May 2010.
Your comments and suggestions on guidance or any other policy-related products are always welcome. You can send us your feedback through our Consultation and feedback on policies and guidance Web page.”
