The Ontario Government has introduced The Companies Statute Law Amendment Act, 2013 on June 5, 2013 which “contains proposed consequential, clarifying and transitional amendments which are necessary to support proclamation of ONCA, which received Royal Assent in October 2010 and is targeted to come into force no earlier than January 2014.” Thanks to Cliff Goldfarb for the heads up.
This was released yesterday. I will be reviewing for substantive provisions. Any comments will be appreciated.

“Sent to you on behalf of David Brezer, Director of the Consumer Policy & Liaison Branch, Ministry of Consumer Services.
I am writing to provide you with an update on the implementation status of the new Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA).
The Ministry of Consumer Services is pleased to announce the government introduced The Companies Statute Law Amendment Act, 2013 on June 5, 2013. This Bill contains proposed consequential, clarifying and transitional amendments which are necessary to support proclamation of ONCA, which received Royal Assent in October 2010 and is targeted to come into force no earlier than January 2014. The proposed amendments affect 86 statutes overseen by more than 15 ministries.
Proclamation of ONCA cannot proceed without these legislative amendments. This Bill will enable the government to deliver on its commitment to modernize the legal framework that will govern the not-for-profit sector. Stakeholders broadly support ONCA and the proposed amendments are not controversial.
For more information about the Bill, please visit the Legislative Assembly of Ontario website at: http://www.ontla.on.ca/web/bills/bills_detail.do?locale=en&Intranet=&BillID=2812.
For more information about ONCA, please visit the Ministry’s website at: http://www.sse.gov.on.ca/mcs/en/Pages/Not_For_Profit.aspx.
Thank you.”
