The Toronto Star has an article entitled “Top court puts Humane Society of Canada on borrowed time: After a nine-year battle with Canada’s taxman, The Humane Society of Canada will not get a chance to stave off impending revocation of its tax-free status with country’s highest court.”  The Supreme Court of Canada has denied leave to appeal in the case with costs against the charity.
