Webinar

This free webinar will cover findings in From The Mind To The Heart, the first research in Canada to explore the influence of justice, access, inclusion, diversity, equity (JAIDE) within the community investment profession, and the beliefs, culture, and practices that inhibit or enable equity within corporate and foundation partnerships.

Findings are described in two reports and are drawn from a survey of Canada’s largest companies, interviews with diverse professionals, and discussions with young leaders.

The study conducted by AgentsC Inc. and Imagine Canada, with generous support from the RBC Foundation, describes the state of the corporate community engagement profession while highlighting unique insights and recommendations from Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQI, South-Asian, and South-Asian Muslim professionals on how companies can better advance philanthropy in service of JAIDE.

This webinar will be presented by Olumide (Mide) Akerewusi, a seasoned social justice advocate, professional fundraiser, and a certified Corporate Social Responsibility Practitioner. He has worked in the social impact sector globally for almost 30 years, generating major revenue for some of the world’s most successful non-profit organizations, and building philanthropic partnerships with national and international corporate and private granters.

Mide is Founder and CEO of AgentsC Inc., a social impact agency offering smart change management solutions to socially and environmentally conscious organizations around the world. Mide is creator and host of the Giving Black Conference and Podcast which celebrate global Black philanthropy. As a Council member of the McMaster University Future of Canada Project, he contributes to important conversations about building a stronger and more equitable and prosperous Canada.
