Fundamentals of Receipting by Canadian Charities - Tuesday September 18 2018

Blumbergs' will be hosting a half-day program on Tuesday September 18 2018 covering all of the fundamentals of receipting. Properly issuing official donation receipts has been challenging for many registered charities.  According to the CRA, 89% of registered charities that are audited by CRA are not correctly issuing official donation receipts.  Issuing incorrect receipts can result in revocation or penalties. It is easier to do it right than fix problems later! Find out more here

Building Financial Capacity for Canadian Charities and Non-profits - Tuesday October 16 2018

Gordon Holley, CPA, CA is the president and CEO of Humanity Financial Management (HFM), a CPA firm dedicated to helping charities and not-for-profit organizations build internal financial confidence and external financial credibility. He has over 35 years of not-for-profit board experience – mostly in the role of Treasurer.  He currently sits on three boards.  Gordon facilitates Financial Governance Workshops and webinars for many organizations, including Charity Village and Vantage Point in Vancouver.  He is the only licenced facilitator of the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional program (CNAP) in Canada.
